A new beginning for Silke Opgenorth and our clinic - February 16, 2009

"It is not WHAT we experience but HOW we experience that affects our lives."

Dear friends and patients,

after the terrible destruction of our clinic associated with a break-in last October, the clinic emerges again in new shine and make-up. Thanks to many helping hands and countless hours of work things are restored and ready to go. On Monday, February 16th, we celebrated the beginning of the 'new clinic' with many patients and friends. Memories of past events were exchanged and we were grateful for the opportunity to share this day with so many people dear to us

This also gave us the opportunity to give thanks to Mrs. Silke Opgenorth for her many years of wonderful collaboration with our family. She will be joining her husband and be running their independant business. Silke - we are excited and happy for you and wish you the very best for your future endeavours!

Words by Silke -

Dear Patients,
"All changes, even the ones so desired, cause some melancholy. Because some of what we leave behind is part of ourself. But we have to say farewell to one live before we can start another."

Anatole France 1844-1924

After 20 years I will be saying good bye to my current 'work life' and will tackle a new challange. I remember fondly the time I have spent with the Hettlich family and my colleagues. Thank you for that.

I would also like to thank our patients for their trust in me. I am sure that you will be taken care of in the hands of Mrs. Sabine Janssen.

Your Silke Opgenorth

Dear Silke,
For 20 years you were the guardian angle for the Hettlichs - and not only in the clinic. In every situation, regardless of how problematic, you were the first person to spring to mind: "Silke". And Silke was always there for us (even at 2 o'clock in the morning, when we forgot that Germany is in a different time zone than Australia...). We had a fantastic time together and are forever thankful for everything you have done for us.

Fortunately, Silke will remain with us "under cover" - once part of the family, always part of the family.
Aristoteles onces said: Joy at work will make the results outstanding.
You have enjoyed your work for 20 years and you will be able to use this joy to assure success for you and your husband in your own line of work. We wish Markus and you the very best for your new beginning -

Your Hettlichs
Dorise, Malaika, Bianca, Claudia and Robin
